Solutions Architect

Summary:

The Solution Architect assists Liquid Web staff as a technical resource and project visionary.  This role assists in the development and presentation of proposals for our most complex and important projects. An SA not only recommends what to solution, but explains the value to key individuals, educates our internal teams, and removes barriers to the Solutions team at large.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical resource to assist in proposal creation for our most complex customer setups
  • Present solutions alongside Enterprise Account Managers and Solutions Consultants
  • Assist with the development of proposals for Managed Engineering products
  • Mentor various teams and individuals on product best practices
  • Participate in special projects as assigned
  • Engage in continuous training on, and for, our most complex products
  • Work with the Engineering team to develop and explain solution capability  
  • Occasionally travel to meet with customers and/or attend events
  • Work with applicable support teams to identify solutionable issues
  • Track closed solutions with other departments to ensure success

 

Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Understanding of datacenter operation
  • Strong familiarity with Amazon EC2, RackSpace Cloud, and/or other cloud hosting products
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux and Windows based environments
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong projection coordination, time management skills, and the ability to multi task
  • Strong Team player
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or comparable combination of education or relative experience
  • RHCSA/MCSA or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background as a systems administrator or engineer
  • Experience configuring network routing (NAT, TCP/IP), firewalls, VPN and DNS
  • cPanel Professional Certification: Sales
