Operations Center Technician (IT) REMOTE

Liquid Web is looking for a self motivated, technology enthusiast to help us monitor our data center and ensure maximum up time for our customers. If you love technology and are looking for a role where you can learn something new every day we would love to speak with you.

This position is permanently remote for the right candidate.

As an Operation Center Technician you would:

  • Monitor and react to alerts from various reporting software
  • Communicate with customers over multiple mediums to provide exceptional customer service and support
  • Troubleshoot servers via IPMI and other remote access methods
  • Determine the source of issues; i.e. network, server, client side, databases, etc. to ensure issues are handled in a timely manner and properly solved
  • Configure, update, and troubleshoot LAMP stack and cPanel
  • Collaborate with internal support groups and customers
  • Keep apprised of pertinent current technological developments and internal communication/training in order to be able to better stay on top of potentially imminent concerns

You Have:

  • 1+ years IT industry experience
  • Solid working knowledge of RPM based Linux Distributions
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows Server
  • Experience with LAMP/WAMP stack and BIND
  • The ability to thrive in a fast paced, team environment
  • Refined customer service and problem solving skills
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • A proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks while maintaining strict adherence to customer expectations and company policy
  • Working knowledge of cPanel/Plesk

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working with Monitoring Systems (Zenoss, Nagios, Cacti, Prometheus)
  • Experience with Google suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs etc)
