Strategic Account Executive

At Liquid Web, we are more than just servers. As a Strategic Account Executive you will be working with the most Helpful Humans in Hosting to achieve your revenue goals by providing reliable, highly available, secure and hassle free hosting. 

This role is responsible for identifying and capturing revenue growth opportunities within an assigned strategic customer account territory. 

As a Strategic Account Executive you would:

  • Establish and maintain current customer relationships utilizing Salesforce.com, Hubspot and other related systems
  • Educate customers on full breadth of solutions offered by Liquid Web
  • Gain clear understanding of customer’s business requirements and growth goals and how they align with our product offerings 
  • Build and maintain research on current customers relating to how each customer is organized hierarchically, brands, channels, and key relationships
  • Provide input into product and service development to improve products and services in line with market trends 
  • Prepare client facing presentations, proposals and sales contracts
  • Substantiate business cases to support customer revenue acquisition strategies
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives by working with supporting teams
  • Work with supporting staff to develop complex proposals and serve as an escalation point for severe issues
  • Drive customer interactions to uncover, qualify and close project opportunities within the customer’s organization
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal stakeholders
  • Meet monthly revenue targets
  • Contribute to campaign and product discussions in order to make sure offerings are relevant to customer base
  • Show an ability to manage more complex customer situations and scenarios effectively

You Have:

  • 5+ years of proven closing success as a quota bearing rep
  • Competitive, self starter motivated by achieving success goals 
  • Ability to effectively communicate, present and credibly influence key decision makers and internal stakeholders 
  • Experience in mapping solutions to business needs and objectives 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple sales cycles at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Knowledge of web hosting industry, RPM-based environments, basic networking concepts, compute and storage standards
  • Salesforce or equivalent experience
  • Phone and in-person professional “presence”
  • Advanced understanding of Sales and Retention techniques and strategies
  • Proficient in Opportunity Qualification
  • Experience executing a consultative Sales approach with clients
  • Technology Savvy - Quickly develop a core understanding of hardware platforms, cloud computing and emerging web-hosting/web-application technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or comparable combination of education or relative experience
