Migrations Technician - Remote/Temp

The Migration Technician role is to assist customers in the transfer of their data, both internally and from external sources, and ensure any technical / customer services issues related to the data transfer are resolved.  This role also provides exceptional support while addressing customer needs and requests.

This role is a remote full time temporary role that is expected to last approximately six months. 



  • Communicate clearly with customers via various mediums
  • Work with customers to properly diagnose and troubleshoot their requests to ensure that we are able to fully understand and resolve their issue
  • Install, manage, and troubleshoot software related to our Linux managed hosting products
  • Migration of customer data (both internally and externally) across various platforms
  • Provide support for a variety of third party software under our beyond scope umbrella
  • Keep apprised of pertinent current technological developments and internal communications in order to be able to better stay on top of potential server issues
  • Attend ongoing trainings, meetings, and events as required
  • Work with third party vendors to facilitate the resolution of issues
  • Review and improve internal documentation
  • Provide job shadowing 
  • Be present in the office to collaborate effectively with supervisors, teammates, and interdepartmentally

Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:

  • 1+ years relevant experience
  • Moderate LAMP stack knowledge
  • Moderate troubleshooting skills
  • Proven customer service acumen
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • The ability to type quickly and accurately
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • cPanel and WHM administration certification (CWA) 
  • Associate's degree in a related field, or comparable combination of education or relative experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
