Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer you would:

  • Be responsible for programming activities related to new development and maintenance of existing applications
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
  • Lead demonstrations and trainings on relevant technology or systems to department or company as needed
  • Research, recommend, and implement new tools/software to increase efficiency/usability
  • Provide technical leadership on a per project basis
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Serve as an escalation point/mentor for coworkers
  • Contribute to, develop, and execute technical documentation
  • Build/develop new tools for performing testing/validation function
  • Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases
  • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution

You Have:

  • 5+ years experience in a development role
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency developing and troubleshooting complex software systems that run in mixed-environments including Linux, Unix and/or Windows
  • The ability to lead small project teams
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing bugs
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and noSQL databases
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • At least introductory knowledge of several programming languages
  • A strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • A strong understanding of linux systems
  • A passion for improving software/systems
