Solutions Architect

As a Solutions Architect you would be responsible for supporting our Senior Account Executives and Sales Account Executives in understanding and interpreting technical requirements for both new and existing customers. Your primary duties would be understanding, designing, and assisting in implementing complex web hosting infrastructure, as well creating high quality proposals.

As a Technical Sales Engineer you would:

  • Manage and interpret customer requirements
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFI's/RFP's
  • Design and build advanced technical architectures
  • Write high quality proposal documents
  • Develop a deep understanding of Liquid Web's Managed Windows products
  • Research and qualify prospects and couple with high quality documentation
  • Effectively negotiate complex sales cycles and technical agreements
  • Offer after-sales support services
  • Maintain current industry and competitor knowledge
  • Provide input into to improve products and services in line with customer needs.
  • Travel to meet customers face to face in an effort to develop new business opportunities.
  • Provide quarterly reports on products/technology with high demand
  • Prepare training and support material for the sales team
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes

You Have:

  • Creative and/or technical web hosting knowledge to enable the effective analysis of customer requirements and offer relevant solutions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivation and dedication, you must have a passion for selling and exceeding targets and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong projection coordination and time management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • The ability to deal with people at all levels
  • A love of working in a team environment
  • Proven experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting both Linux and Windows based environments
  • Strong familiarity with Amazon EC2, RackSpace Cloud, and/or other cloud hosting products
  • A comfortable understanding of data center operations

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in configuring network routes (NAT, TCP/IP), firewalls, VPN and DNS
  • Background as a systems administrator or engineer
  • MCSE or MCSA certifications
  • RHCSA or RHCE certifications
